Features of the iPAD CU-SP1 defibrillator

Automatic volume adjustment

Some public places can be noisy, crowded stations, airports with constant announcements and streets full of cars and people, often difficult to hear what is happening around us. Attempting to use an AED in noisy places can be difficult if the person handling the defibrillator can not clearly hear the voice messages and instructions from the AED. To facilitate your hearing, the iPAD CU-SP1 analyzes the ambient noise level, and automatically adjusts the volume of the messages. When the proper volume is reached, the iPAD CU-SP1 maintains messages at this level.

Smart electrodes and practical storage

The pre-connected smart electrodes are stored in an accessible compartment at the bottom of the device. With this we make sure that the iPAD SP1 will always be ready to be used in the shortest possible time. The exclusive technology that the iPAD CU-SP1 incorporates and the smart electrodes allow the equipment to detect if they are correctly connected to the device. If they are, it will notify the user. In addition, the visual indicator on the front of the iPAD CU-SP1 will indicate if the electrodes are on date to be used. The indicator will change when the electrodes have 3 months of use before the expiration date, giving time to organize their replacement. The indicator will change again when the expiration date is reached. Checking the status of the electrodes is as simple as looking at the front panel!

CPR detection

CPR is vital to ensure that the patient has the greatest chance of survival. The iPAD CU-SP1 detects whether the CPR is being performed by following the messages and resuscitations of the user. If the CPR is not being performed, the iPAD CU-SP1 will notify the user to do so. If it is already being done, the iPAD CU-SP1 will help the user to complete it.

Easy communication with the CU-EX1 software

Acquiring information from the iPAD CU-SP1 after an event is now easier than ever. Installing the CU-EX1 software on your computer will allow you to see and analyze the equipment usage history. Information such as the time on, the patient´s heart rhythm and the delivered heartbeats will be displayed in an easy-to-understand format. The iPAD CU-SP1 can store more than 5 events with more than 3 hours of ECG analysis on an SD memory card. The data can be transferred simply or by connecting the SD card to a PC or using the infrared port (lrDA). Having the data on an SD memory card allows you to use this data for analysis, while the equipment with another SD inserted is ready for use.
